Buy or sell with a reviewed Spot quote
Trading · How-to · Solana Spot is admitted, but every asset, wallet, quote and submission remains independently gated.
Choose the asset and wallet, inspect the exact trade costs, then confirm one request.

Before you start
- A signed-in account and eligible native wallet or verified connected wallet.
- Spendable input assets and sufficient SOL for the displayed fee/rent reserve.
- A currently supported asset and fresh, unblocked quote.
Check the actual ticket
Open /markets/spot or use Buy/Sell on a supported token page. Search results, a chart or a token page do not establish trading permission. The ticket must finish its eligibility, wallet and quote checks before confirmation is possible.
Sign-in can preserve an intended Buy/Sell action, but does not submit it. If eligibility or wallet data is unavailable, use the displayed Retry control and wait. An unsettled existing request can lock new requests until its status is resolved.
Select the source you intend to spend
Generated/native and connected wallets are separate sources with separate balances. For a connected source, verify the exact linked address and choose the matching wallet app. Merely connecting a different app does not authorize the quoted source.
Native signing is server-managed and capability-based. Connected signing requires the selected external wallet. Changing source, asset, amount or slippage invalidates the prior review and consent; do not approve an old packet after editing.
- Choose the token by its full mint, then select Buy or Sell.
- Select Generated/native or Connected and verify the displayed source address.
- For Connected, complete verification if offered and select the matching wallet app. Resolve any wallet-read error before proceeding.
Choose the settlement asset
SOL and USDC are settlement choices. The native Other path can use supported alternative settlement assets after mint, precision, holdings and route checks; it is not a promise that any arbitrary token can be used.
For a buy, the input is the selected settlement asset. For a sell, the input is the token being sold and the output is the settlement asset. Check these labels before entering an amount. A custom asset that cannot be verified or is not held cannot be assumed spendable.
- Select SOL or USDC, or use native Other when offered.
- For Other, select a held asset or enter its exact mint and use the verification control; retry the portfolio read if needed.
- Check the resulting asset label and decimals. Reset the custom choice if it is not the asset you intended.
Review and confirm once
Enter a positive decimal input amount, or use the percentage controls. Max still respects the displayed SOL reserve; a displayed total balance is not necessarily fully spendable. Default slippage is a preference, not permission to bypass a safety cap.
Review is inline, not an automatic purchase. Selecting the final Buy or Sell authorizes the displayed amount, minimum received and costs. The flow may lock the quote, verify a packet, obtain the relevant signature and submit; do not click again to fix a delay.
- Choose an input amount within the spendable balance and check SOL fee/rent coverage.
- Set slippage deliberately and select Review quote.
- Read the current quote, expiry, costs, minimum received and all PASS/WAIT gates. Requote if it expires or changes.
- If all gates pass and any permitted impact acknowledgment is understood, select Buy or Sell once. Approve only a matching external-wallet request if that source requires it.
- Keep the request reference. Inspect its recorded status and signature rather than creating a replacement if the result is unclear.
Read costs and net output
The reviewed quote distinguishes input, fees, token transfer taxes, rent/network requirements and minimum output after slippage. Native and connected fee paths can differ; the current review is the place to inspect the exact charge, not a remembered percentage.
Do not add headline amounts as though every row is an extra charge, or assume a quoted gross output equals the final recipient balance. If review identity, source or costs do not match your intent, discard it and prepare a fresh review before authorizing.
Treat impact and slippage separately
Price impact describes the effect of this order on the route; slippage sets a tolerated movement around the reviewed output. Raising slippage does not remove poor liquidity or improve the market price.
The ticket requires a separate acknowledgment for elevated allowed impact and hard-blocks excessive impact. Follow its current threshold and blocker text. Reduce the amount and obtain a fresh quote if blocked; do not try to override the limit through another route.
Legacy Buy/Sell links are not Spot
The legacy /buy path can hand an eligible token off to Fomo. An external handoff is not native Spot settlement or a platform-confirmed fill. Inspect that provider’s own destination and review.
The legacy /sell page does not provide the implemented Spot sell ticket. Use /markets/spot for eligible reviewed native or connected Spot sells. Do not infer current execution support from an old command or link.
