Understand account deletion before confirming
Wallet and account · How-to and reference · Account lifecycle controls; deletion does not erase wallets, keys, chain transactions or financial obligations.
Review the seven-day grace period, cancellation and retained financial recovery records.

Before you start
- An active signed-in account and loaded Settings.
- Review outstanding funds, attempts and recovery access before requesting closure.
Review funds and outstanding actions first
Requesting deletion stops new platform activity and starts the currently implemented seven-day grace period. It is not a withdrawal, a launch cancellation or destruction of wallet keys. Check unresolved trades, launches, refunds and wallet access first.
Withdrawals and export remain subject to existing wallet safety gates; deletion does not disable those gates or guarantee recovery availability. Keep any legitimate private backup secure and preserve non-sensitive request references.
- Review Wallet, My launches and any existing Spot request for unresolved outcomes.
- Read the current deletion notice in /account/settings and the privacy/terms disclosures.
- Only if you intend closure, type DELETE exactly and select Start seven-day grace.
- Check the returned scheduled state and effective timestamp; an error or pending button is not successful scheduling.
Cancel before the recorded deadline
Settings shows the scheduled effective time while deletion is pending. Use that recorded timestamp rather than guessing from when you clicked. Cancel deletion is offered during the pending grace period.
After the grace period ends, cancellation can be rejected; a closed account is closed to new activity. Wallet and recovery access remains governed by the existing rules. Do not promise that a closed account can always be reopened.
- Return to Settings in the same account before the effective deadline.
- Select Cancel deletion if you want to keep the account active.
- Wait for the updated account state. If cancellation fails or the grace period ended, read the error and do not assume activity was restored.
Deletion is not complete erasure
Financial records, claims, refunds and the identity needed to recover them are retained. Wallets, private keys and public chain records are not destroyed by account closure. Existing liabilities are not erased by hiding a profile or closing new activity.
Consult the canonical privacy policy and terms for retention disclosures. This guide explains the implemented lifecycle, not a promise that every item of personal data disappears or every downstream system has completed deletion.
